Support
A real person reads every message, usually the one who wrote the app. Tell us what you were doing and what happened instead, and mention your iPhone model and iOS version if you can — it saves a round trip.
Common fixes
- The camera is not counting my reps
- Prop the phone so your whole body is in frame — a table edge or a wall works better than holding it. Reasonable light in front of you helps more than bright light behind you. If a move keeps missing on your setup, a walk, your daily steps or a focus session earn exactly the same minutes.
- Blocking is not switching on
- MoveFirst needs Screen Time permission to hold apps behind a shield. Open iPhone Settings, find MoveFirst, and check that Screen Time access is allowed. If you have just granted it, restarting the app once helps it take effect.
- My daily steps are not being credited
- The Apple Health route is off until you switch it on in MoveFirst's settings, and it needs read permission for steps. You can check that in the Health app under Sharing, then Apps.
- I paid but the app still shows the paywall
- Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall while signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with. If it still does not appear, write to us with the date of purchase and we will sort it out.
- I want to cancel
- Cancelling happens in iPhone Settings under your Apple ID, then Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and blocking switches off by itself afterwards.
Before you write, these might help
- Does MoveFirst record me while I exercise?
- No. Reps are counted live on your phone by Apple's Vision framework. Frames are read as they arrive and discarded immediately — no video is written to disk, and none is uploaded anywhere.
- Can I use MoveFirst without the camera?
- Yes, completely. A walk is measured by the phone's step counter, your daily steps can be credited from Apple Health while the phone sits in your pocket, and focused time needs no sensor at all. Every minute in MoveFirst can be earned without opening the camera.
- How accurate is the rep counting?
- It reads body position, so it works best with your whole body in frame and reasonable light. It is honest work rather than a perfect judge — if a move is not counting well for you on a given day, a walk or your daily steps earn exactly the same minutes.
- Can MoveFirst see which apps I block?
- No. Apple's Screen Time framework hands the app an opaque token that stands for your selection. MoveFirst can hold those apps behind a block screen without ever learning their names.
- What happens when my earned time runs out?
- The block returns on its own. You do not have to remember to switch anything back on, and nothing is taken away from the minutes still in your bank.
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is no sign-up, no email and no password. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, so restoring it on a new phone is a single tap.
- What does it cost?
- Three days free, then €29.99 per year. You can cancel anytime in your iPhone's Settings. If a subscription lapses, blocking simply switches off.
- Which iPhones does it work on?
- iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Camera-counted moves use the front camera; the walk and focus routes work on any supported iPhone.
