A practical setup

Walking uses the iPhone’s motion sensors with the phone in your pocket. Forty steps add 30 minutes of power, and a Live Activity shows the steps while you walk. Those are three separate things to observe: carrying the phone, the step count and the resulting power. Record what each display shows if the result surprises you. Describe the walk itself in a support message, including when it happened, rather than inferring the result from a separate fitness summary. Camera moves remain another way to power up, with video never recorded, stored or sent.

How to measure the experiment

Recheck the documented behavior after a major iOS change or whenever the permission state no longer matches the expected result. Measure the friction around essential tasks separately from friction around distraction.
